Oakley Elementary School, in Asheville, NC. Oakley is a K-5 Buncombe County school with over 400 students of diverse backgrounds. Oakley Elementary is a place where we pride ourselves in providing a safe, rigorous, and engaging learning environment for all students. We offer programs such as Leaders in Me, PBIS, Dual Immersion, STEM, and multiple after school clubs. We are a Title I school and we utilize this funding to provide researched based literacy intervention programs, text material resources, staff development, and to enhance our parental involvement.
Our students are the OAKS - On task, Acting safe, Kind kids, and Student leaders. Our school uses PBIS and Leader In Me as pillars to provide a Compassionate School model to our students and community. These programs provide a strong framework for our students and teachers in accomplishing our academic goals and to help each student find the leader within themselves.
